“Paused” EPP Accountability Ratings Proposal
TEA staff discussed with SBEC's board a proposal to modify criteria for assigning ratings to educator preparation programs (EPP) — including a coronavirus-related recommendation to put on “pause” for a year the assignment of ratings to EPPs.

Legacy Master Teachers
In another major discussion-only item, SBEC's board informally agreed that the best of all options presented by staff of what to do about the current holders of legacy master teacher certification is to let them continue holding the certificate permanently, without having to ever renew.
