Voters to Decide $10.97B in ISD Bonds

The Texas Bond Review Board reports that 57 ISDs have 115 individual school bond propositions on Nov. 3 ballots that total $10,969,283,046.

Dallas ISD is seeking approval of an all-time-record (for Texas) bond package totaling $3.7 billion in bond propositions (spread over a total of five individual propositions) — including the highest-dollar-amount proposal of $3.2 billion for facilities, followed by $270 million for technology.

Number 2 is San Antonio ISD, which is seeking approval of a total of $1.3 billion spread over two propositions, and No. 3 is Northwest ISD ($986.6 million in four propositions).

The ISD with the most propositions on the ballot is Hays CISD, with six propositions totaling $217.3 million.

All told, ISDs, cities, counties, hospital and community college districts and other entities have put 145 individual bond propositions — totaling nearly $12.8 billion — on their November ballots.
