Preliminary ISD/Charter Fiscal Ratings
The preliminary 2019-20 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) ratings released by the TEA (Aug. 6) reflects a near 100 percent passing rate for ISDs and charters. See table:

The ratings are based on Fiscal Year 2019 data (ending either June 30 or Aug. 31, 2019).
The ISDs receiving preliminary failing F = Substandard Achievement ratings are: 1) Culberson County-Allamoore, 2) Divide, 3) Floresville, 4) Jim Hogg County, 5) Karnes City, 6) Leander, 7) Lytle, 8) Meridian, 9) Rio Hondo and 10) Roscoe Collegiate.
Charters receiving preliminary F = Substandard Achievement ratings are: 1) Priority Charter Schools (Bell County), 2) Bridgeway Preparatory Academy (Dallas County) and 3) Texas Serenity Academy (Montgomery County).
Also, the state’s eight college/university-affiliated charters all received passing FIRST ratings under a pass/fail system that considers seven individual indicators.
The deadline for filing appeals over the preliminary ratings is Sept. 8, and final ratings are expected to be posted by the TEA in November.
