Requested Opinion:
Surplus ISD real property (RQ-0350-KP)
— Asking (on behalf of Fort Worth ISD) if an ISD can enter into long-term ground leases with a private entity that intends to develop the ISD’s surplus real property for noneducational purposes.
FWISD believes it can generate more money over the life of the ground leases than it could from selling the property outright.
